I’m a recent Linfield University graduate who double-majored in Marketing and Journalism & Media Studies and minored in Spanish. I found out that I was interested in business in high school through DECA, a marketing, management and entrepreneurship competition, where I competed twice internationally. I also discovered my love for learning the Spanish language. It wasn’t until college that I found the Journalism & Media Studies degree, where I was able to expand my writing skills that I knew I could develop as well as learn about utilizing other media such as videography, photography, website-design and podcasting.
In February 2023, I finished my last ever season playing basketball for Linfield. Being an athlete most of my life has given me a passion for sports, which I have been able to explore through classes like Sports Reporting, Sports Media Practices and Social Media Theory where I analyzed sports marketing and methods that current sports teams and sports brands use.
In terms of broadening my communications experience, I’ve completed a Marketing and Public Relations internship with The Borgen Project, and I wrote articles for both The Linfield Review and Linfield’s Strategic Communications department. I also have customer service experience working just over a year for a small apparel company, Dantelle Apparel, where I communicated regularly with boutique buyers and assisted with shipping orders, managing inventory and updating the brand’s website.
My current dream is to work in the sports or athletic equipment industry near my hometown in Seattle, WA.
